Setting up Connections
To add a new connection, open the Stilla desktop app and navigate to Settings → Connections.
Primary Connections
- Slack: The most critical connection. It allows Stilla to "live" where your team talks. You can choose specific public channels for Stilla to monitor.

- Linear & GitHub: Essential for product teams. Connecting these allows Stilla to understand what work is being done, not just what is being said.
Model Context Protocol (MCP)
Stilla supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing you to connect virtually any tool that has an MCP server.
- PostHog / Sentry / Intercom: Connect specialized tools to give Stilla deep domain expertise.
- Internal Tools: Build your own MCP server to let Stilla access your internal databases or APIs.
Privacy & Permissions
Stilla only accesses data you explicitly share.
- Slack: Only reads channels you invite it to or add to its allowlist.
- Calendar: You choose which meetings to record or transcribe.
- Email: Read-only access to understand context; Stilla never sends emails without your approval.
